Drum vac's latest innovation is a system called Vac N Sack. This incorporates a sack within a drum of a tank and sucks the waste, like old roof insulation, directly into a sack within the capture tank. No mess, no escaping pollution to atmosphere and no need to pull the insulation out of a roof by hand. The Vac N Sack concept is so successful and effective that it has been used in a variety of capture tanks from 205 litre drums right up to the large trailer mounted 900 kg size tanks.

The concept is simple and incredibly effective. Take a sack that is porous enough to allow the air flow through and as long as you have reverse air blast filter cleaning, then the system will work like a dream. The photo above shows a Drum Vac configured for high air flow with a sack that will be tied off within the drum.
Once connected to the powerful Drum Vac that incorporates reverse internal filter cleaning, the system is ready to start sucking the waste including roof insulation, leaves and general light waste straight into a sack. The sack is secured under the lid by hooks and tied off to the inlet suction pipe to make sure the majority of roof waste stays in the sack. Once the waste is sucked up into the sack within the drum or container, simply turn off the system and take out the sack. The sack can be tied off with a zip tie. As the waste is captured in the sack, the filters under the power head of the Drum Vac are hardly worked. Once the reverse air blast is activated and the fiters cleaned of any fine dust that has got through the sack, the operator is ready to insert a new sack and start again. Once the sack is out of the drum, removal of the sack takes seconds.
Now the waste roof insulation is ready for quick disposal.
